About
The concept of "Ed in Your Head" began when a young athlete came to me as her Athletic Trainer requiring something more than just physical training to achieve her goals. We worked together in sports performance training, mental confidence, and anxiety management. When it came time for her lacrosse tryouts, her anxiety began to get the best of her, but her mom's words changed everything: "Remember what Ed taught you, have Ed in your head." With newfound calm, she was able to succeed in her tryout and make the team. After her High School career, she has gone on to face tougher competition in college where she earned a starting role and became a key player on the team, and has been able to face life issues head on both on and off the field.
As a joke, the mother/daughter combo decided to create a t-shirt with a photo of myself on the front, and the words "Ed In Your Head" written on the back. The shirt quickly became a hit with many of the athletes who loved wearing it, symbolizing perseverance and confidence. The rest is history.
As a Certified Athletic Trainer, I started to see a rise in athletes turning to energy drinks to enhance their performance — but with the cost of some negative side effects. That's when I decided to combine my love for coffee and experience in sports medicine and start this coffee company, with the goal of offering athletes a healthier alternative for caffeine. When it came time to come up with a company name and logo, Ed in Your Head just seemed to be the perfect fit. The Ed in Your Head logo represents the spirit of perseverance and confidence I'd seen in my student. Great coffee can be more than a morning pick-me-up — it's a catalyst for focus, confidence, and perseverance. That's what Ed in Your Head is all about: inspiring people to perform at their best.
